About The Book

Dr Arthur Frost started sharing daily communion sessions on social media during the initial lockdown wanting to equip the saints and help them experience the true power of God that is unlocked when we partake of His body and His blood.

365 Days of Communion was born from a desire to give hope to the nation of South Africa during the lockdown that started in 2020.

When the lockdown got extended beyond 21 days, so too did the Communion sessions, and from that day Dr Arthur Frost was committed to continue sharing powerful revelations from God’s Word with the body of Christ in these daily communion sessions.

When we reached day 365, it was decided to turn these sessions into book form so that you can have them as a Daily Devotional to use as a tool to help you grow and mature in your walk with God. May the pages of this volume bring you into deeper intimacy with Jesus.

This book is a Daily Devotional to use as a tool to help you grow and mature in your walk with God.

Be pure in your motives – January 2

“Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good” (Rom. 12:9)

We recently looked at this Scripture verse with regard to the problem of tolerating evil, and in an earlier verse, Paul spoke about the constant struggle that you have against your old sinful nature, which prefers to do that which is evil, not what is good (Rom. 7:15-17). However, now I want to focus on what
Paul says about letting your love be without hypocrisy. That happens when you come to help or assist someone, even if only by standing in the gap for them in prayer, with a pure motive. For instance, when you help people with a pure heart, and not with a hidden agenda or motive. You are not planning to wangle or connive something that would benefit you instead of them. You should not intend to do anything that would result in something being stolen from or destroyed in another person’s life. It is important that you understand that it is not about the works that you do. What counts is the motive behind them. When you help someone, you should do so with a sincere heart. You should be able to say to God that you are ready to help and assist in any way that you can, and that your resources, whether time, energy, money, or whatever else, are His to use to bless people.

You need to be ready to help those around you who need assistance, but it is important to evaluate why you do so. Ask yourself why you hang out with believers, why you help people, and why you give money to your church. Some people give only to receive, instead of giving with a generous heart,
expecting nothing in return (Luke 6:35). If you belong to the Church of Jesus Christ, then God expects you to clean up your act, to be ready to serve, and to lay down your life for the body of Christ and for your fellow believers. You must be ready to do what God has called you to do, and strive to make a difference wherever you go, but your motive must be to simply obey the Lord Jesus Christ, and not to get anything out of it. If you do something with the hope of getting anything out of it, then your motives are questionable. However, if you have the attitude that you are on earth to give, to help, and to love people unconditionally without any hidden intentions, then God will
bless you. I suggest that you ask God to help you to evaluate your motives, so that you understand why you do what you are doing. It is important to do good, but you should not be doing it out of habit, or to look good; you should be helping others as an expression of your love for the Lord Jesus Christ.
